dressing room shenanigans, dude.

you get to see Juanito, Iker and Xavi in their teeny tiny matching underwear. only in their matching underwears. and you get to see David Villa jumping and hollering like a hyperactive 12 year old.

Pete talking to Out.com about homophobia, changing the scene and his bands. Some interesting tidbits, like this one

His new career was Fall Out Boy, a pop-punk band that left the local hardcore scene for more melodic rock pastures, in part because the homophobic violence they witnessed at shows pissed them off.

And don't tell anyone, but this made me go 'awww'

“Being ambiguously flamboyant really does help,” he says. “I’ve had so many people come up to me and be like, ‘I felt OK to come out of the closet after you said this.’ And I’m like...” He looks shocked, even overwhelmed. “When someone says that to me -- it’s not an event I’ve ever been through, so I don’t know what to compare it to. I don’t think I even understand how important that is to someone’s life.”

And when the Euro ad spot appears and it goes 'And the Germans are the ones who can celebrate now' I just want to yell at it to shut up. Jennifer Doyle is not helping me to get over it. Neither is Pitch Invasion. Great pictures, though. But this Ugly Betty marathon is helping a bit.

put your hands up if you're watching the quarterfinals too!

and now we have Extra Time

while waiting, more things to note:

1)did anybody else get the impression that Holland were playing with a man down? they looked overwhelmed throughout the game.

2)dude, the Russians totally figured out how to shut Holland down. their defense was tight.

3)is the whole Russian squad made up of adolescents? all of them are so red-cheeked and angelic-looking it's ridiculous.

FUCK. This is fucking painful. how in the world did I get so attached to them? it's 5am an I don't think I'll be able to go to sleep. and yes, I am randomly adding sentences to this thing. I'll be drowning my sorrows in Panic's HCT vids now.

dude. Freaking football. and I'm cursing my tiredness because I totally missed the match this morning. good thing tv re-airs matches 20392 times. also, I'm feeling happy because the Swiss won right after their manager's wife came out of a coma.

oh, and this is via [profile] thepianopoet. apparently, the Dutch team call Edwin 'Papy'. I just - *hands*

eta: just saw this. apparently, we stole a very promising 16 year old from Roma.

also, do you guys know how to convert streaming video to audio? I want this audio of Mystery Jets performing Leona Lewis' Bleeding Love. (here. click on 'Mystery Jets perform Bleeding Love'.) maybe the video only works for people in the UK? because it's not working for me.

you know how Big Bang stories are freaking awesome and deliciously long? yeah. I think I'll be attached to my laptop for a very long time. so far, I've finished reading one story and in the middle of reading another one.

I fail at reccing this story because I am just going to flail about incoherently whenever I try to do it. basically, Brendon is an up-and-coming actor who has his demons. he meets Spencer, a waiter. and it's really, really not your run-of-the-mill romance.

Stump's Eleven by  [livejournal.com profile] ailleann23

I'm about halfway through this one and it's seems really promising, so far. of course, I may just be biased because I adore ensemble fics. especially ensemble fics that has the potential to put the characters in situations where they have to work well together and/or get stuck in cramped places together. what??

I'm watching the Swiss - Turkey match. dudes, the pitch is like a swamp. I'm pretty sure there are whirlpools in there sucking the ball into the pitch. and does the Swiss coach ever smile? ever?

oh, and Senderos marshaling his defense? hot. making a great tackle? FREAKING hot. all this in addition to playing a pretty awesome game so far.

hey, Zlatan got subbed. he's still injured, huh?
